First Week of School

Oh my goodness!!! It has been forever since I blogged. I guess a little under two months is the same as forever to me. I'm going to start with our first week of school and work our way back to where I stopped.

Of my three children, two of them are pretty loud. I found it very interesting that my loud ones (Nati and Claire) were the most nervous. Ada couldn't wait to get back to school. She has Claire's old teacher, who we all love, so her change really wasn't that big. Claire is now in pre-k, which is a bit different than preschool. She was very nervous the first day and then when I picker her up, she said she was over the nervousness. She was disappointed though, that she did not learn how to read on Monday. Nati did just what I expected. He didn't appear nervous until it was time to walk into the building. We moved about 8 months ago, and so he is going to a new school. (We let him finish the school year last year at his old school.) As we were walking to the classroom, he said, "Mom, I'm nervous." I told him that I knew he was and that I would pray for him all day. He seemed relieved that I said that. When I picked him up, he told me that was one of the best days ever and he was so glad I prayed for him. The three have done very well this week, and I think it's going to be a big year for all of them with their development.

I completely forgot to take a picture the first three days of school, so here is a picture of their fourth day.

Hooray! I am so glad you blogged about their day. I'm so happy for all three of your kids...and I hope Claire will get over her disappointment of not learning how to read in 1 day! Too cute!
